READY, SET, GO!
Our Move-A-Thon is a fun, student-led fundraiser that supports the Viewlands PTSA. As our first big fundraiser of the year, students help raise money toward providing essentials such as playground supervision, Lexia literacy software, field trip opportunities, and more!
Every dollar raised directly supports creating a safe, enriching, and joyful learning environment for all students at Viewlands Elementary School.
HOW IT WORKS
Do you remember doing a “Jog-A-Thon” or a “Walk-A-Thon” when you were a kid? This is the same idea, but instead of just running or walking laps, students can also dance, jump, or otherwise find a fun way to move their body!
Our Move-A-Thon is a single day event that happens during school, but has an online fundraising window that opens starting September 4th. Students participate by asking family and community members for donations and pledges leading up to the event on Monday, October 6th.
STUDENT PLEDGES
We are using GiveBacks as our fundraising platform. You may recognize this website as the same one we use for our PTSA Store where you can pay for school supplies, register for VEPTSA membership, & bid in our annual auction!
For Move-A-Thon, each student will have their own personal donation page via GiveBacks. Donors can pledge by “lap” or as a single one-time donation for their student. You will be able to share the user specific link to your student’s page with whomever might be interested in supporting our school.Click below to visit the “Student Center” and find your child’s page:
COMPANY DONATIONS
Do you work for a company that offers matching gifts or has a community sponsorship program? Corporate sponsorships & matching donations are a great way to multiply our fundraising efforts! We are happy to recognize your company’s generosity on our event materials and throughout our school community.

We are always on the lookout for local businesses to sponsor our community events and fundraisers! Gain visibility among hundreds of Viewlands families while supporting public education. VOLUNTEERING
Parent Volunteers are part of what makes this event possible! We are going to need people willing to mark laps, staff the water & first aid stations, and cheer the kids on!
All volunteers need to be approved and registered with the Seattle Public School District.
