“All Apologies” - We Can’t Get Over How Amazing You Are!
Thanks to all who rocked out 🎸with us last weekend at our 1990s Grunge Auction—a night to remember, held underground (literally!) at The Screwdriver Bar in Belltown, a quintessential Seattle venue. From flannel to sticky floors and screaming amps, you brought the spirit—and the generosity!
Because of your support, both in the online auction and in person last weekend, we raised over $49,000 (and counting!)💥 to fund critical programs for our school. These dollars go far beyond the mosh pit:
- Playground supervision, so our kids can safely run wild like it’s recess in ’92.
- Gap-closing literacy tools including Lexia software and high-dose tutoring
- The Reading Partners program, pairing students 1:1 with mentors who help them build skills and confidence
- Field trips, assemblies, and after-school enrichment scholarships that give kids a taste of new experiences and diverse cultures—because the world is waiting, and we want them to go with the flow and grow boldly.
- Stocking snacks and the Orca Cares Closet, so families can always depend on getting what they need—clothing, hygiene products, and nourishment—whenever they need it.
We partied, we laughed, we bid, and we celebrated our incredible staff! To the 174 parents, staff, and friends and family who joined us, bid online, raised your paddles, and helped us make some noise for our kids: THANK YOU. You made this campaign unforgettable, and you reminded us that when our community bands together, there’s nothing we can’t do!

It’s a great way to treat yourself and support our school at the same time!
