October 2024

In October 2024 we got together for VEPTSA’s Fall General Meeting, enjoyed grade-band park playdates, got some gear on our new spiritwear store, re-launched a successful Move-A-Thon fundraiser, biked to school with Orca Bike Pod and participated in Walk n Roll to school day…stay tuned for more!

May 2024

In May 2024 we started the month with a week of fun celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, National Walk, Bike, and Roll to school day, and Movie Night all in one week! We also hosted VEPTSA’s Spring General Meeting (not pictured) to recap the year and vote on our budget, programs, and team nominations for next year.

April 2024

In April 2024 we had our annual spring auction with a theme of Orca Yacht Rock! We met and exceeded our fundraising goal thanks to everyone who showed up. 

March 2024

In March 2024 we had our second annual Orca Cup soccer event at Sandel Park. Our community gathered and played rounds of fun-filled soccer for hours. 

February 2024

In February 2024 we celebrated our amazing Viewlands teachers and staff with stickers and a treat table, JazzEd visited Viewlands for our first assembly in our new building, and students submitted amazing contributions for our Yearbook cover art challenge.

December 2023

In December 2023 we kicked off our Give Big for Viewlands fundraiser with a $5k matching event at Chuck’s Hop Shop Greenwood! 

November 2023

In November 2023 we got together for VEPTSA’s 3rd annual Carkeek Salmon Walk—this year’s salmon run was even more captivating with the addition of a beaver dam! We also rallied around our Holiday Drive to support Viewlands families in need over the long winter break, and decked the halls early with our Wreath fundraiser.

October 2023

In October 2023 we got together for VEPTSA’s Fall General Meeting, enjoyed grade-band park playdates, launched our new spiritwear store and weekly Bike Bus, and celebrated our annual all school field trip to Woodland Park Zoo.

May 2023

In May 2023 we celebrated our amazing Viewlands teachers with Teacher Appreciation Week treats, flowers, and raffle prizes (we have the best teachers!); we also supported students with great snacks for SBA and Map testing; and wrapped up the month with our Spring General Meeting. …stay tuned for more updates!

April 2023

In April 2023 we had a blast at the “Under the Sea” 2023 VEPTSA Spring Auction, hosted at the Phinney Neighborhood Association. We had a great time with everyone and helped raise critical support for our school programs. We also enjoyed a special Earth Day event cleaning up litter at Greenwood Park. 

March 2023

In March 2023 we gathered together at Sandel Park for the first ever Orca Cup soccer event! We had 3 games going simultaneously and incredible energy across the field. 

February 2023

In February 2023 we celebrated our amazing Viewlands teachers and staff with hearts and a treat table, collected great contributions for our Yearbook cover art challenge, and once again enjoyed Nutty Squirrel Gelato on the 4th Tuesday.

January 2023

In January 2023 we gathered together for our VEPTSA Winter General Meeting, picked out spiritwear gear, enjoyed some more Nutty Squirrel Gelato, and Ollie the Viewlands Orca visited our new construction site (opening Fall 2023!).

December 2022

In December 2022 we rallied around our annual Winter Break Gift Card and Book Drive for Viewlands families in need (collecting $3850 for gift cards and purchasing all the wishlist books!), and equally rallied around our Give Big for Orcas fundraiser (11/29-12/31) with a wonderful event at Chuck’s Hop Shop Greenwood and Chuck’s matching $5000 donation!

November 2022

In November 2022 we watched the salmon swimming up Piper’s Creek for our 2nd Annual Carkeek Salmon Walk, and gathered at Lantern Brewing to enjoy pints and community together!
